ABOUT

Harrison Castillo Literary is specializing in the strategic representation and positioning of high-value manuscripts for global publishing and screen adaptation. Founded by Harrison Castillo, the firm operates at the intersection of literary representation and independent deal brokerage connecting authors with publishers, producers, and investment partners through a highly selective, results-driven approach.

Harrison personally oversees each project, combining editorial insight with commercial strategy to position manuscripts as scalable intellectual property assets. In parallel with his agency work, he operates as an independent literary broker, facilitating direct acquisition pathways across publishing, film, and television markets.

His publishing foundation was built at Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group, followed by his tenure at Trident Media Group, where he contributed to the development and positioning of major literary works, including Washington Black by Esi Edugyan.

Since 2015, he has worked independently as a literary agent and entertainment consultant, advising authors on manuscript development, publishing strategy, and adaptation opportunities while facilitating selective industry connections across publishing and entertainment sectors.

His work extends into collaboration with leading industry partners, including Higher Ground Productions, Sony Picture and Universal Picture, and other premier media entities, focusing on book-to-screen adaptation and rights development.

He has been invited as a speaker and panelist at major international forums such as the Frankfurt Book Fair, London Book Fair, and the Toronto International Film Festival, and is a member of the Association of Authors’ Representatives (AAR).

Harrison Castillo is based in New York, where he resides with his wife and two children.
